Inspired Consulting Group Social Work Exam Prep Class

Inspired Consulting Group, in partnership with Norfolk State University's School of Social Work, will offer a two day social work exam prep class at the NSU Virginia Beach Higher Education Center (1881 University Dr, Virginia Beach, VA) on June 7 & 8, 2013 from 9am - 4pm each day.

This course is geared towards equipping participants with the skills necessary to sit for the clinical level exam (LCSW). Topics that we will cover include but are not limited to:

-An Overview of the Composition of the Exam

-Exam Taking Strategies & Special Accommodations

-Social Work Assessment & Diagnosis

-Social Work Intervention Strategies

-Models & Methods of Social Work Practice

-Psycho-pharmacology

-Human Growth and Development Issues

-Social Work Ethics

-Research and Supervision

-Self Regulation and Relaxation Skills

The class is taught by Wendy Alias, LCSW-C, LICSW and Corey Beauford, LICSW. Mrs. Alias and Mr. Beauford both have years of experience in various social work practice settings and clinical supervision. Mr. Beauford and Mrs. Alias have provided social work exam prep services to the following agencies / universities:

-The Catholic University of America

-Virginia Commonwealth Univ. School of Social Work

-Norfolk State University

-The University of South Carolina College of Social Work

-NASW - South Carolina Chapter

-The National Association of Black Social Workers - DC Chapter

Course Fee

The early registration fee for our two day class is $150.00 for NSU Alumni and Field Instructors / Adjuncts and $200.00 for the general public.
